About Mary Sonnier
My name is Mary Sonnier and I have been investing in real estate for over 18 years. I am retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and as a civil service employee I never dreamed I could build a portfolio like the one I have today. Of course, I have made good and bad investments, and have gained a wealth of knowledge from both. When I began investing, I was scared to death, but with each transaction I gained more and more confidence. I have built a multi-million dollar portfolio and foresee a wonderful retirement for my family. Where will you be in 5, 10 or 15 years? Let me show you how to invest in real property. I have a vision to turn investments into profit making successes. I would love to share my passion with you. "If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan. And guess what they have planned for you? Not much." --Jim Rohn.
Market Overview
Central Louisiana is a made up of many communities, municipalities, and villages. Families, retirees, and business people all love to call this area home for its arts and culture, outdoor recreation and much more. Forbes magazine selected Alexandria as one of the top three places to retire in America. Commercial and real estate opportunism are two industries that are very profitable in this area. There is a real need for residential rentals, an opportunity for residential flipping, and residential development. Real estate investing has proven to be one of the most safe and profitable investments due to the high cost of rents since Hurricane Katrina and Gustav. The area attracts investors from all over the United States.
Investment Price Points
While real estate sales are happening at a brisk clip across Louisiana, that is not the case in every community. In many areas, there is a lack of supply which is creating a fast turnaround time. While some neighborhoods are seeing some price increases along with the low days-on-market average, this is not the case across the board. There is still great opportunity to invest and make a profit in a short amount of time.
